Sound, sensible horses that know the country. Fifty dollars a day.

A hired horse should take care of you, and these do. They stand at the meet, go in company without fuss, cross water, and handle the ground here without arguing about it. Some will go first flight all day. Others are happier in second flight, and that is where most guests have the best time anyway.
Tell me what you ride at home and how bold you are feeling, and I will match you. If you have never hunted, say so plainly. Nobody here thinks less of a beginner, and a good day is worth more than a brave one.
| Hire | Rate |
|---|---|
| Hunt horse lease, one day | $50 per day |
| Sidesaddle mount, arranged in advance | $100 per day |
| Trailering to a meet away from the farm | By arrangement |
Capping fees owed to the hunt are separate and paid to the hunt, not to the farm.
Write or call with the date, the fixture or the event, your height and weight, and an honest word about your experience. I will tell you what horse suits you and hold the date. A signed release comes before you get a leg up, so print it, sign it, and bring it with you.
